Poor Thrifty

Years ago, on a visit back to Melbourne, I was having Yum-Cha with a good friend. She ended up being one of our bridesmaids. Anyway, I had rented my standard Thrifty Mitsubishi Magna from the airport in Melbourne. All was well.
Headed to the restaurant. Parked in the car-park under some large trees. It was a lovely summer’s day (I think).
Lunch goes according to plan. We eat way too much. I may have tried to drink too much. And the MSG had just started to kick in as we headed for the door.
When I got to the car, there was all this yellow pollen (or seedy shit) all over the bonnet. Stuff it I thought. It’ll blow off. Jumped in, turned the key, and because the air-con was still on, the car ingested 2-hours worth of this yellow crap and promptly blew it out all over the both of us.
It was like a can of mace had detonated in the cabin. (more…)
